What are the results?

Lead (Pb) is a metal found naturally in the environment as well as in manufactured products.  In the past, the Clean Air Act required extensive lead monitoring in order to detect the high levels of airborne lead that resulted from the use of leaded gasoline. With the phase-out of leaded gasoline, lead concentrations decreased drastically by the late 1980s.
